Our commitment

Mystic Arcane Readings is committed to making this website welcoming and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. Tarot and reflection should be open to all, so we design our readings, free tools and articles to be easy to see, read, navigate and understand.

The standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We work toward this on every page, including new tools and blog posts as we add them.

  • Perceivable: text alternatives for meaningful images, readable text size, and strong contrast between text and background.
  • Operable: everything can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and large, easy-to-press buttons.
  • Understandable: plain language, clear headings, and labeled form fields with helpful messages.
  • Robust: clean, well-structured pages that work with screen readers and other assistive technology.

What we do

  • Every page has a clear heading structure, and links and buttons have descriptive names.
  • Images include alternative text.
  • Our free tools, such as Card of the Day, Draw 3 Cards and the Rough Day toolkit, are built to work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
  • Animations, including the soft twinkle effects and the breathing timer, slow down or stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Forms, including email sign-ups and contact forms, have visible labels.
  • We offer an accessibility toolbar (the button on the site) that lets you adjust text size, contrast, spacing and more.
  • We regularly check the whole site for broken links, missing alternative text, heading problems and other issues, and fix what we find.

Tips for a more comfortable visit

  • Use your browser's zoom (Ctrl or Command and the plus key) to enlarge text.
  • Turn on "Reduce motion" in your device settings to remove animation.
  • Use the accessibility button on the site to adjust contrast and text.

Known limitations

We are always improving, and some areas may not be perfect yet:

  • Older blog posts may have images with less detailed descriptions. We are updating them over time.
  • Checkout and payment pages are provided by Shopify and our payment partners, and we do not control all of their accessibility features.
